Many people tend to favor using a silver goblet (on a stem) for the traditional Kiddush. As in the Kiddush cups these come in a large variety of shapes and sizes, some on taller stems, making them elegant and very decorative.
Larger versions of these silver goblets are often used as kosot Eliyahu – Elijah's Cups, traditionally filled at the Seder table in anticipation of the coming of the Moshiah-Messiah.
Once again, these are 925 Sterling Silver goblets and are gold plated inside.
As these items have been created by Jewish artisans, there is no need to tovel them (immerse them in a mikveh).
